These intricate, patterned baskets are handwoven in the Binga district of Zimbabwe using natural, locally harvested materials and traditional techniques. Binga baskets are equally at home being utilised as storage, or hung on the wall as part of an eclectic arrangement of your favourite pieces.

Traditionally these baskets have been used for wind winnowing, an ancient agricultural method for separating grains. Wind winnowing involves throwing the harvest into the air so that the wind blows away the lighter husks and hulls, while the heavier grains are caught in the basket.
